The Bird

The other day I was down stairs playing with the boys, when all of sudden I heard a "thump." I went to the door and checked outside thinking that someone had maybe thrown something and hit the door. But there was no one about. After a quick look around I didn't see anything suspicious, so I went back to playing with the boys. Later that afternoon I went upstairs to talk to Ed and he asked me if I had seen that a bird hit the window. I told him I had heard something, but didn't know what it was and asked how he had known. He told me to look at the window and this is what I saw......

If you look closely you can see that the poor bird was is mid-flight when it connected to our window. I checked outside and didn't see the bird, so we are hoping that it is okay. From the size of its impact mark, it looks like a big bird (Ed thinks it was an albatross).
