Burgoyne Update

October has been a busy month for us. We started the month by going to visit Ed in California. Ed has been in training in California for a while and we couldn't live without him any longer. While we were in California, we went to Knott's Berry Farm (Ed lost all of the pictures, so we don't have any of those) and the beach. Edward loved Knott's Berry Farm. They had many little kid rides that involved cars and trains (Edward's two favorite things). I also got to ride on their roller coasters and had a blast.

Our second weekend in California, we went to the beach. We drove about 45 minutes from Ed's hotel room to the beach, and as soon as we got out of the car to head to the beach Edward informed us that he was ready to go home. It was very cold and windy, but I really wanted to go to the beach, so we stayed for a little bit.

Edward had never seen the ocean before and so he didn't understand the cold water chasing him.

"Can I go home, now?"

Camron says, "It's not so bad if Mommy holds me."

After 10 days in California, we came home. It was nice coming home, because Ed got to come home with us. He completed all of his training in California and so now he is home with us. He also gets to work from home so we see him off and on all day, it is sooooo wonderful. :)

Camron's birthday was also in October. He is now our great big 1 year old, and cute as can be. For his birthday we had his cousins over for cake and ice cream. That weekend we had a birthday party with my Uncle Tristan and his family to celebrate both Camron and Zach's birthday. We went to Freestone park had a blast visiting with Tristan and Cheryl and the kids.

"Mmmm... Cake!"

For Halloween Edward dressed up as a cowboy riding a horse and Camron was a dragon. We went out trick or treating and then when we came home we took their candy and took out the good stuff and then Ed passed out the rest of the candy to kids who came by our house. It was late and so not that many kids came by, those who did were astounded by the generous handfuls that Ed gave to them as he was trying to get rid of the candy. We had a trunk or treat for our ward the Tuesday before Halloween and the boys had already eaten too much candy and so we figured they didn't need to much more.

My uncle Tristan and his family moved down to Phoenix so I have been able to visit them a little bit. I am so grateful for the opportunity I have to get to know them better. Edward has had a blast playing with Brynnlee, Zach, and Spencer. Cheryl gave me a few of Zach and Spencer's old clothes and here are Edward and Camron all dressed up for church in outfits that we got from them. Thanks Cheryl :)

When Ed and I got married we were given various furniture from different places. On of the pieces of furniture we got was a green couch from Ed's grandpa. We loved the couch, it was really comfy. When we had family visit, our siblings would fight over who would get to sleep on that couch. Well, over time the couch began to fall apart (literally), the seams split and Camron loved to eat the filling inside the couch. So, we have tried keeping it covered so it didn't look so bad, but with two boys climbing all over it constantly, the covering didn't work so well. I have been bugging Ed about getting a new couch for about a month now. This weekend while I went yard sale shopping, I found a couch that I really liked. Ed liked it too and here it is.....

Now we just need to paint the room. Next project.
