Burgoyne Update

October has been a busy month for us. We started the month by going to visit Ed in California. Ed has been in training in California for a while and we couldn't live without him any longer. While we were in California, we went to Knott's Berry Farm (Ed lost all of the pictures, so we don't have any of those) and the beach. Edward loved Knott's Berry Farm. They had many little kid rides that involved cars and trains (Edward's two favorite things). I also got to ride on their roller coasters and had a blast.
Our second weekend in California, we went to the beach. We drove about 45 minutes from Ed's hotel room to the beach, and as soon as we got out of the car to head to the beach Edward informed us that he was ready to go home. It was very cold and windy, but I really wanted to go to the beach, so we stayed for a little bit.
Edward had never seen the ocean before and so he didn't understand the cold water chasing him.
"Can I go home, now?"
Camron says, "It's not so bad if Mommy holds me."

After 10 days in California, we came home. It was nice coming home, because Ed got to come home with us. He completed all of his training in California and so now he is home with us. He also gets to work from home so we see him off and on all day, it is sooooo wonderful. :)
Camron's birthday was also in October. He is now our great big 1 year old, and cute as can be. For his birthday we had his cousins over for cake and ice cream. That weekend we had a birthday party with my Uncle Tristan and his family to celebrate both Camron and Zach's birthday. We went to Freestone park had a blast visiting with Tristan and Cheryl and the kids.

"Anybody want any cake?"

"Mmmm... Cake!"

For Halloween Edward dressed up as a cowboy riding a horse and Camron was a dragon. We went out trick or treating and then when we came home we took their candy and took out the good stuff and then Ed passed out the rest of the candy to kids who came by our house. It was late and so not that many kids came by, those who did were astounded by the generous handfuls that Ed gave to them as he was trying to get rid of the candy. We had a trunk or treat for our ward the Tuesday before Halloween and the boys had already eaten too much candy and so we figured they didn't need to much more.

My little cowboy and dragon. Aren't they cute?

My uncle Tristan and his family moved down to Phoenix so I have been able to visit them a little bit. I am so grateful for the opportunity I have to get to know them better. Edward has had a blast playing with Brynnlee, Zach, and Spencer. Cheryl gave me a few of Zach and Spencer's old clothes and here are Edward and Camron all dressed up for church in outfits that we got from them. Thanks Cheryl :)

When Ed and I got married we were given various furniture from different places. On of the pieces of furniture we got was a green couch from Ed's grandpa. We loved the couch, it was really comfy. When we had family visit, our siblings would fight over who would get to sleep on that couch. Well, over time the couch began to fall apart (literally), the seams split and Camron loved to eat the filling inside the couch. So, we have tried keeping it covered so it didn't look so bad, but with two boys climbing all over it constantly, the covering didn't work so well. I have been bugging Ed about getting a new couch for about a month now. This weekend while I went yard sale shopping, I found a couch that I really liked. Ed liked it too and here it is.....

Now we just need to paint the room. Next project.

Don't forget to vote on Tues.!!!

The Mall

With the weather still hot, the boys and I have been going to the mall to get out of the house. The boys love it at the little play area they have at the mall.

A lot has been going on. Our garden is all gone now and we have pulled our watermelon plant so we could have our backyard back. Our watermelon plant was very productive. We got 9 full grown watermelons from the plant, and quite a few other little ones that didn't make it.

Camron keeps growing up so quickly. He started walking about 6 weeks ago and is now running around the house. Edward and Camron are now starting to be able to play together and it is so nice to see them getting along. They also like to pick on each other. It seems like it wasn't too long ago that I was telling Edward to stop picking on Camron, but now it is Camron who picks on Edward.

Edward is enjoying going to school and riding the bus. Every morning he gets up and tells me that he wants to go to school (which is good, except for the days he doesn't have school). While he is waiting for the bus to get here, Edward loves to sing. His favorite being "The Wheels on the Bus." He is doing so much better with his speech. It is so nice to hear him talking and saying exactly what he wants instead of us having to guess.

Ed is enjoying his new job. Training has been going well. He has been following other field engineers for the past few weeks, but in two weeks he gets to have them follow him. Which means he is getting closer to being finished with training. We are all so proud of him.

Edward and Camron showing off three of our watermelons.

Along with walking Camron has discovered my pots and pans. Here he took them all out so he could get in. Only problem was once he got in, he couldn't get out.

There is supposed to be a top on this table. Camron likes to take it off so he can sit in it.

This is a picture Edward took. He likes to take pictures with the camera. He is starting to get better. We just need to teach him how to get the camera to focus all of his pictures are fuzzy.

Camron

Camron keeps getting bigger every day. Just this past week he started walking. He is only taking a few steps at a time, but we think that in a week or two he will be walking all the time.
Camron loves to eat shoes. We had a birthday party for his daddy this past Saturday and everyone left their shoes at the front door. Camron had plenty of shoes to play with.

Crazy face.

All dressed up for church.

Edward loves his little brother. They love to crawl around the floor together.

Of course, I know I'm cute.

1st Day of School

My little boy is growing up. Today is Edward's first day of preschool. He has a bit of a speech delay and so he qualifies for preschool in the public school. I am so excited for him, I know he is going to have a fun time. He was really excited to go to school this morning. He got to wear his new school clothes and shoes.

Here he is all ready for school.

Edward and Camron playing together while waiting for the bus to come.

Is it here?

We decided to wait outside the last few minutes because it was nice and cool outside (which is something that hardly ever happens in the summer).

Once the bus pulled up Edward got scared. It was big and loud. Maybe tomorrow it won't be so scary.

Pictures

We are all doing well in the Burgoyne household. Just thought we'd post a few pictures.

Camron just lounging around.

Edward loves his uncle Josh.

Josh was nice and let Edward attach him with the garden hose.

After all it was pretty HOT outside.

Edward is learning how to take pictures with the camera.
Here is one of him taking a picture of himself.

Edward got a new pair of sunglasses the other day.
He likes to put them on and pose for the camera

Watermelon

Last summer we enjoyed eating watermelon and spitting the seeds on our back porch. At the beginning of this summer, we noticed some watermelon plants growing in our grass. We decided to let them grow and see if we could get any watermelons from them. The watermelon plant has now completely covered the grass in front of our porch and is continuing to grow.

I couldn't get the entire watermelon plant in the picture.

We are now starting to see some watermelons growing. We have two that are thriving and several tiny watermelons that we hope to see get bigger. Here are our two biggest watermelons.
