Toilet Paper Bandit

Camron has become our adventurous little boy. He likes to stand up next to anything he can pull himself onto. We have tried to keep our bathroom doors closed afraid that he would discover toilets. Well, he discovered our bathrooms, but has found something more exciting to play with.

He was having such a blast.

Now everytime he sees the bathroom door open, he darts right to the toilet paper. I guess we get to enjoy unrolled toilet paper for awhile.

A New Coat of Paint

We love our house but have never been really happy with the bland flat white paint job. We had talked about moving the boys into the biggest bedroom for a while, and one Saturday we decided we should just do it. So a couple weeks ago we cleaned out what had been the guest bedroom and got ready to paint. These are some before pictures of the bedroom here below.

Kind of ugly, eh?

We went to get paint and looked at various shades of blue. We got a little adventurous at the store and ended up going with a darker shade of blue than we had originally envisioned. We think it turned out great though! What do you think?

With the boys in their new bedroom we also cleaned out Ed's old office and turned it into the playroom. Now that the boys have a room for their toys our living room is much cleaner. We will paint this room too sometime, anyone have any good color scheme ideas?

Edward's Birthday

We celebrated Edward's birthday on Saturday. He is a big three years old. Nicole made him a cake and we had some family over. It was a lot of fun and Edward loved being the center of attention. Edward loves trains so it was a train themed party. Afterwards we all went swiming in the community pool.

Nicole made Edward this train cake. She did an awesome job! Edward thought the cake was pretty neat and especially liked eating all the candy why we decorated it!

Camron was pretty tired after all the excitment and fell asleep in his high chair after eating his birthday animal crackers (since Dad wouldn't let him eat any cake).

Edward got lots of presents and was quite spoiled.

Edward sure loves Thomas the train stuff.

Spring has Sprung

Well it feels like spring is well under way now. Not too much has happened in the Burgoyne family since our last post. Ed is still working at his internships untill he starts his new job in mid June and Nicole and the boys have been keeping busy with the garden and other spring time fun. We should say happy Mothers Day to all you mothers out there. Nicole has been a wonderful wife and mother and we are all lucky to have her.

Happy Mothers Day!!
Our garden has been doing great! You can see how much it has grown by comparing with the pictures in our last post.
The tomatoes have pretty much taken over this side of the garden. The chard has been doing very well also although it is hard to see behind the tomatoes. We had chard twice with dinner this week. It was pretty good!!

The squash have done very well also and have just started blooming!

Nicole got the boys matching shirts at Target. Mom can fix anything!
Camron is crawling everywhere now and can climb up on the couch and anything else he can get ahold of. He sure has been fun to watch these past couple weeks. See the video of him crawling down below.
Edward loves his brother and is having a great time playing with him now that Camron is mobile. They are gonna be big trouble when they get older!

Mom, I want the camera!

Yep, I know I'm cute!
Videos!!!

A few days ago Ed was throwing goldfish into the air and catching them in his mouth. Edward thought this looked like lots of fun and so he gave it a try....

Growing Up and Moving On

Well March and April have been busy months for the Burgoyne Family. Camron and Edward are growing up quick and have been lots of fun to play with. Camron is now 6 months old and proudly bearing two teeth. He is also scooting around the house and will be crawling on all fours in the next couple weeks. Edward is learning to count and loves to count everything that can be counted. He is also having lots of fun riding his bicycle. Nicole has of course been super busy taking care of the kids and doing a great job at it. Ed's job search has about come to a close and he will accept an offer this week. He is super excited about being done with school and moving on.
Here are some pictures from the last couple months.....

We planted a garden this year in our back yard. On this side we have some tomatoes, chard, and bell pepper.
This part of the garden is green beans, squash, strawberry and watermelon. We have really enjoyed watching the plants grow and we will keep you posted on how the garden does.

Easter was lots of fun. There was a big neighborhood party where all the kids picked up the easter eggs in the field behind Edward in this picture. They had 1400 eggs and the kids cleaned them up in about 5 minutes (maybe less)!

Edward and his cousin got a little silly with their Easter baskets.

Camron loves to eat the little hard baby biscuits, (bitter biscuits I think they call them) but it sure does leave a mess afterward.

Camron has also been eating a little bit of baby food. He does really well with it and likes sweet potatoes the best.

Edward and Camron went to their cousins birthday party. Edwards favorite part was flying kites. He now asks us to take him kite flying nearly everyday. He is actually a pretty good kite flyer. We went to the park today and enjoyed the nice weather. Edward loves the park and Camron loves to go out and look around.

Hear Ye, Hear Ye

Saturday we went to the Renaissaince Festival. Some of Nicole's brothers and sisters perform there as part of a EAC dance group, so we got some free tickets (Thanks Stradlings!). Edward seemed to have a lot of fun and made a point of making sure he walked over every bridge he could find as we walked around. We couldn't find the sunscreen before we left but since we were going to only be out a few hours we thought we would be fine. I guess the winter made us forget the intensity of the Arizona sun cause we were all pretty red looking today. Edward was less burned than the rest of us (I guess he is out in the sun more) and Nicole and poor Camron got toasted the most.

Edward took his sword with him to the festival to show off his Renaissaince spirit.

The Danceliers is the group Nicoles brothers and sisters participate in. Dallin is the tall one in this picture.

Edward got a ride in a butterfly.

This fool juggled and ate fire.

Brenton (Nicoles brother) in his Renaissaince outfit.

Just the cutest kids around!

Camron loves to eat his Mommys hair. You can also see Nicole and Camron are a little redder than usual from our day in the sun.

The Bird

The other day I was down stairs playing with the boys, when all of sudden I heard a "thump." I went to the door and checked outside thinking that someone had maybe thrown something and hit the door. But there was no one about. After a quick look around I didn't see anything suspicious, so I went back to playing with the boys. Later that afternoon I went upstairs to talk to Ed and he asked me if I had seen that a bird hit the window. I told him I had heard something, but didn't know what it was and asked how he had known. He told me to look at the window and this is what I saw......
If you look closely you can see that the poor bird was is mid-flight when it connected to our window. I checked outside and didn't see the bird, so we are hoping that it is okay. From the size of its impact mark, it looks like a big bird (Ed thinks it was an albatross).
